About this experience
At 2,600 metres, where the treeline gives way to open alpine meadow, our camping experience strips back the luxury of the domes and cabins to something more elemental — the smell of woodsmoke, the sound of a stream, and a sky so dense with stars it feels close enough to touch. Premium canvas tents are pitched on elevated cots so you sleep off the ground, warm in a sleeping bag rated to -5°C, with a lantern casting amber light across the meadow.
Every evening our guides light the campfire ring, brew chai, and lead a night-sky photography session with star maps and binoculars. At dawn, they take you on a guided sunrise trek to the ridge above camp. Breakfast is a forager's basket — local bread, mountain honey, and seasonal fruit — eaten beside the stream. Up to six guests can share the meadow, making this the most social of our three stays.
